On Tuesday, Alex Buck qualified to be on the Democratic primary ballot for State Senate, by handing in nearly 600 signatures from across the district to the Secretary of the Commonwealth’s office.
Alex Buck — who is running for the seat being vacated by retiring Senator Susan Fargo — and his campaign volunteers gathered signatures from every town in the district by going door-to-door and talking to voters about what matters to them.
"I am thrilled to be on the ballot for State Senate. Voters are looking for elected leaders who understand our communities and will always put our families first," said Buck. "I will stand up to powerful interests and insiders and fight to strengthen our schools, invest in public transportation and smart economic growth that works for everyone."
Buck holds a Mechanical Engineering Degree from UMass Lowell and an MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School. He and his wife Sarah (a public school teacher) are raising their two boys in Chelmsford.
Kim Schroff, Alex's campaign manager, encourages supporters to join the campaign. "We are canvassing and phoning many evenings and all weekends until Primary Day. It is the best way to connect with voters and win their support."
