UPDATED: Half Staff and Parking Notifications for Michael Ronner

From the Governor:

Please be advised that Gov. Deval L. Patrick has ordered that the United States flag and the Commonwealth flag be lowered to half-staff at all state buildings from sunrise until sunset on Saturday, May 19, 2012, in honor of Lance Corporal Michael J. Ronner of Sudbury who died on May 8, 2012.

 This gubernatorial order applies to:

  1. The main or administration building of each public institution of the Commonwealth, e.g. town and city halls
  2. Other state-owned or state-controlled buildings
  3. All state military installations

From Brian Stearns, veterans agent for Sudbury:

Visitation will be Friday from 4-8 p.m. at the Duckett-J. S. Waterman & Sons Home of Memorial Tribute, 656 Boston Post Rd., Rt. 20, and the funeral will be held on Saturday, May 19, at 10:00 am at Sudbury United Methodist Church, 251 Old Sudbury Road, Rt. 27, Sudbury Center, followed by interment at New Town Cemetery, Sudbury.

If the Duckett parking lot is full, you are encouraged to take advantage of a shuttle bus service which will begin about 4:30 PM Friday from 33 Union Avenue ~ Chiswik Park. Coming in off of Route 20 to Union Ave, there's a sign for 21-33 Union on the left. AAA Limo is right at this entrance as well. Proceed past the Lumber yard on your right and park at #33. The lot says "Staples Industrial" on the sign. The Sudbury Police is encouraging the public to take advantage of this shuttle service to help alleviate traffic issues.

A condolence book is located at the Goodnow Library and is available for signing during Library hours.
