(EDITOR'S NOTE: The following is from the Sudbury Police Department.)
Beginning with the annual Fourth of July Road Race, Concord Road will be closed between Morse Road and Plympton Road at the beginning of the two races, which start at 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. The road will only be closed long enough to get the participants off of Concord Road onto the secondary streets. Expect delays in this area until the conclusion of the road races.
Union Avenue will be closing at 11:45 a.m; only parade participants will be allowed to enter.
At 12:45 p.m., Boston Post Road (Route 20), Old Sudbury Road (Route 27), and Concord Road from Route 20 to Newbridge Road will be closed, as well as Hudson Road from Peakham Road to Town Center.
Detours will be set up to try to minimize the inconvenience to the motoring public. These detours are lengthy so we ask your patience with the situation.
