Congratulations to the 134 students of Spanish at Lincoln-Sudbury who attained national recognition for excellent performance on the 2012 National Spanish Examinations.

These students earned a total of 11 gold, 38 silver and 40 bronze medals along with 45 honorable mentions.

"Attaining a medal or honorable mention for any student on the National Spanish Examinations is very prestigious," said Kevin Cessna-Buscemi, National Director of the Exams, "because the exams are the largest of their kind in the United States with 143,641 students participating in 2012."

The National Spanish Examinations are administered each year in grades six through 12, and are sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese. Students from Lincoln-Sudbury have a long history of high achievement on these exams. This year a number of students achieved scores in the top percentile and the following students earned medals:
