The Massachusetts Women's Political Caucus Political Action Committee is thrilled to announce its endorsement of Mara Dolan for the state senate seat vacated by Senator Susan Fargo. The 3^rd Middlesex senate district is comprised of Waltham, Bedford, Lincoln, Carlisle, Chelmsford, Concord, Weston, and parts of Sudbury and Lexington. The primary election for this seat will take place on Thursday, Sept. 6.

“We are very proud to endorse Mara Dolan for state senate,” says MWPC Executive Director Priti Rao. “As a social worker and public defender, she has demonstrated a dedication to public service and an understanding of the needs and issues relevant to the 3^rd Middlesex community. She will be a fantastic advocate for bringing resources back to this community to address the needs of its citizens, from jobs to education. We are looking forward to working with her and think she will make an outstanding addition to the Massachusetts Senate.”

Mara Dolan has spent her professional life in public service and currently works as a public defender. She is currently the co-chair of the Committee on Public Policy in the Massachusetts Democratic State Committee and is the chair of the Concord Democratic Town Committee. She is also the producer and host of “Right Here Right Now with Mara Dolan.” In addition to the Massachusetts Women's Political Caucus, Dolan has received the endorsements of Congressman Mike Capuano, Senator Jamie Eldridge, Senator Dan Wolf, State Representative Tom Conroy, Bob Massie, Mike Lake, the Pipefitters 537, the Boston Teacher’s Union, and the Massachusetts Retirees Association.
