Middlesex County Sobriety Checkpoints Scheduled for Thanksgiving Weekend
Massachusetts State Police will set up sobriety checkpoints somewhere in Middlesex County over Thanksgiving weekend, from Friday, Nov. 23 into Saturday. Nov. 24.
State Police say the purpose for the checkpoints "is to further educate the motoring public and strengthen the public’s awareness to the need of detecting and removing those motorists who operate under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs from our roadways.
It will be operated during varied hours, the selection of vehicles will not be arbitrary, safety will be assured, and any inconveniences to motorists will be minimized with advance notice to reduce fear and anxiety."

How ironic would it be if they had one of these checkpoints where they used to a while back, right between entrance to Shaws/Lavenders/CVS and Raytheon? Especially with 2 Route 20 bars asking for later last calls. I'd be carefull people.

It would be funny if our town employee with 3 DUI's gets a fourth.

They should set one up right outside Beth Rust's house.

How about the State Police setting up a check point on Great Road (Rte2A) running from in front of Papa Razzi in Concord thru ro intersection of 2A and Rte 495 in Littleton. Bet they would catch a few pulling out of that infamous Polynesian restaurant in Acton (across from Donelan's ) where underage drinking and drinking to excess has been a problem ever since I moved to Acton 27 yrs ago. lower 47%@gmail.com
