In a few short months, girls all over Sudbury will grab their gloves and gear and take to the fields to play softball in the Sudbury Girls Softball league (SGS).   Every year up to 300 girls in grades K-9 play, learn, and grow together in the sport of softball.  Playing softball is more than fun and good exercise. It has been said that girls that play organized team sports avoid many of the pitfalls of growing-up. They lead more productive lives and in the process gain confidence and self-esteem.  

The league is growing and expanding the experience for the girls.  SGS now offers summer travel teams, as well as fall and winter clinics. In addition, we have invested in a pitching machine and a batting tunnel similar to those of the other organizations in town. SGS is continuing to bring resources for instruction for both coaches and players, and we hope to keep growing the league.

SGS needs your help to keep the momentum going.  Would you please consider becoming a Friend of SGS by sponsoring a team?  For $300 your name or the name of your business will be added to the back of a team’s uniform and will appear on our website.  As a thank you, SGS will provide a picture  plaque of the team for you to proudly display at your place of business. Your investment in our girls will help us support them in their growth in the sport of softball and in their development as young people.
