Susan Pope Endorses Jeff Semon for Congress

(EDITOR'S NOTE: The following was submitted by Chip Jones.)

Fifth District Congressional Candidate Jeff Semon is proud to announce that former State Representative for the 13th Middlesex District, Susan Pope, has endorsed his candidacy. Semon is running to return robust economic growth to America and restore fiscal responsibility to Washington.

Rep. Pope said of Semon “the country is in need of good, intelligent, hard-working and Constitutionally-bound candidates that will listen, understand the facts, strive to improve the shaky economy, and work for you, the constituents. It is for those reasons that I endorse Jeff Semon for Congress in Massachusetts 5th District”

Rep. Pope served the citizens of Lincoln, Sudbury and Wayland (all towns in MA-5) for five terms in the Massachusetts House. “Susan knows that we need responsible leadership at every level of government and I am honored to receive her endorsement.” Semon said. Also adding, “Susan’s experience gives her great perspective on who can legislate most effectively to get our country back on the right track.”

Pope’s endorsement further establishes Semon as the candidate best positioned to unseat Democrat Ed Markey who was elected in 1976, the year Semon was born. Jeff has gained significant attention appearing on both national and local talk programs and has had numerous op-ed articles seen across the country and throughout the district.

Rep. Pope summed up her support by saying “Jeff had done his homework on the economy, welfare, immigration and all the key issues of the day. He would be both an  asset and an ally for Massachusetts voters in Washington.”

Jeff Semon is a breath of fresh air and would make a great replacement for Ed Markey.

This is great news. Kudos to Rep. Pope for giving Jeff Semon the credit he deserves. The people of the 5th district deserve better than Ed Markey, a career politician who's been in DC since the stone age, and who takes his constituents for granted. Our country is in trouble, and Markey is part of the problem. I support Jeff Semon.
