Whole Foods Partners with Save A Dog, Inc. as Chief Sponsor of Paws in the Park
Whole Foods Market is partnering with Save A Dog, Inc. of Sudbury, MA as the chief sponsor of Paws in the Park, a benefit to save homeless pets. The event will be held at Longfellow’s Wayside Inn in Sudbury on Sunday, May 22 from 10 am to 3 p.m.
Whole Foods is dedicated to giving back to the communities in which it works. Several times a year, each Whole Foods store holds a community giving day (otherwise known as a “5% Day”) where 5% of that day’s net sales are donated to a local nonprofit or educational organization. Recently, Whole Foods Market in Framingham dedicated one of its 5% Days to Save A Dog, where they raised over $4,400 to help place homeless pets in safe and caring homes.
Marketing Team Leader, Pirjo Silen, contributed additional funds to qualify Whole Foods as the Diamond Sponsor of the Paws in the Park event.
The event is for dog lovers and their pets and will raise money for homeless dogs. Some of the activities will include an Agility Try-out ring, Demonstrations, Parade of Adoptable Dogs, Doggie Games, face painting for the kids, a silent auction, food, Pet Photo Sessions, and Pet Massages. A scenic group walk with dogs and humans will take place beginning at 11 a.m.
“We thank Whole Foods and Pirjo Silen for their generous support of our efforts to save homeless pets,” said Shirley Moore, Founder and CEO of Save A Dog, Inc. “Their support makes this a better community for all residents including our animals.”
