The BIG EAST named men's swimming and diving senior Ben Smith (Sudbury, Mass.) Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference last week. Smith's double first-place finishes and relay team performance in the loss to La Salle earned him the conference recognition.Smith swam the third leg of a second-place 200 yard relay team that finished in 1:28.24. The Endicott women's volleyball team fell to #3 seed Salve Regina University in four sets in the CCC semifinals. Ashley Norley (Sudbury, Mass.) saved the best performance of her career for last as the libero shattered Endicott's dig record for a single match by recording 41 digs on the night.  The previous match high was 37 digs set by Brittany Nolan in 2005 in a five set match.  The previous record for digs in a four set match was 33 which Norley accomplished earlier this year against Bowdoin. Norley finishes her storied career in second place all time at Endicott with 2,267 digs.
The fifth-seeded Amherst field hockey team won a thrilling 3-2 double-overtime win over fourth-seeded Trinity in a NESCAC quarterfinal match-up on Robin Sheppard Field. Staking the Jeffs to an early lead, Annika Nygren (Sudbury, Mass.) netted her third marker of the season just 4:40 after the opening whistle.
Maryland women's soccer forward Hayley Brock (Acton, Mass.) was named to the All-ACC second team. Brock earned her first conference honor after leading the No. 7-ranked Terrapins in points (26), goals (10) and assists (6). Seven of Brock's 10 goals came in conference matches and four of her 10 goals were game-winners.
Babson College used four second half tallies to push past Mount Holyoke College 4-1 in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Contest (NEWMAC) field hockey action. Sophomore Julia Pochini (Acton, Mass.) tallied an assist in the win.
The third-seeded Wellesley College field hockey team advanced to the semifinals of the 2012 New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Tournament with a 3-2 win over sixth-seeded Mount Holyoke. Nathalie Gruet notched a goal in the victory.
