St. John's freshman goalkeeper Ellen Conway was named BIG EAST Rookie of the Week on Oct. 1, after her undefeated week between the pipes for the Red Storm women's soccer program.Conway, an Acton, Mass., native, went 2-0-0 in goal this weekend against Rutgers (Sept. 28) and Seton Hall (Sept. 30). She had six saves over the weekend, with three stops against the Scarlet Knights to help preserve her first-career BIG EAST shutout and three saves against Seton Hall.Conway has three shutouts for the year and is 5-5-0 in goal for St. John's.Conway was honored by the BIG EAST earlier this season, as she was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Sept. 10. It is the third overall weekly award for St. John's as Sandra Osborn was named Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 10 as well.
