Argument Between Two Sudbury Brothers Ends in Arrest for One

The following arrest information was supplied by the Sudbury Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A call to the Sudbury Police Department early Friday morning regarding a domestic problem on Marlboro Road resulted in the arrest of a Sudbury man.

According to Lt. Robert Grady, two brothers at the residence were involved in an argument when it escalated to a simple assault and battery.

One of the brothers then allegedly threw a painting at the other brother.

After responding officers completed an investigation, Daniel Murphy, 18, of 208 Marlboro Road, was arrested and charged with:

  • Domestic assault and battery;
  • Assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (the painting).

Murphy was bailed out at 5:10 a.m. and was scheduled to be arraigned at Framingham District Court later in the day.

seriously?! A painting is not a dangerous weapon! and how can they charge him with both Domestic assault and battery, and Assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Its like saying he assaulted someone without a weapon, but at the same time, he assaulted someone with a weapon. Like seriously police make up your mind and pick a charge.

Depending on the frame size and whether or not it had a sheet of glass covering it, the painting could be as dangerous as a knife or tire iron.

Allow me, the mom, to elaborate. The picture was thrown, broken and hit no one. It was a fight resulting in no injury that was the issue. Brother #1 called police to get brother #2 in trouble.

SkimThreePercent you are RUDE. If you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all. Did your mom teach you that?
