Five Things You Need to Know Today: April 6

Today is Good Friday.

 

1. RELIGIOUS: Good Friday services

Members of the Sudbury Clergy Association will offer a Good Friday service at the Martha Mary chapel at the Wayside Inn. The service will include traditional hymns, led by organist Kevin Monroe from Sudbury United Methodist Church, prayers offered by clergy and leaders from many of the town's churches, and preaching from SUMC's Associate Pastor Jordan Shaw. A free will offering will be collected to benefit the Metrowest Free Medical Clinic at Congregation Beth El.

Memorial Congregational Church will hold service at 7:30 p.m. us as they explore the last week of Jesus’ life through stations that will engage all five senses.

2. MUSIC: Sudbury's Paul Rodriguez to perform in Hudson

Sudbury resident Paul Rodriguez will perform at the Harvest Cafe in Hudson  from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. He has performed in many venues across the country and Europe. He has also written the score for a Charlie Brown TV Special back in 1986.

Paul's style includes the "music of his life" which covers the great music of the 60s and 70s with a few from the past couple of decades.

3. FAMILY: Story time fun

Bring your kids ages 2.5 years old and older to Goodnow Library for story time fun on Friday mornings at 10:30 a.m.

4. OUTDOORS: Forecast

Today: Sunny, with a high near 58. Tonight: Clear, with a low around 33.

5. SPORTS & RECREATION: Dodgeball

Giorgio's Health and Fitness offers a night of dodgeball and pizza for kids 6 years old and older. Cost is $10 per kid for members and $15 per kid for non-members. See the front desk for more information.
