1. CLASSES & LECTURES: Mortgage Day

Get your questions about mortgages and the home-buying process answered by Marlborough Savings Bank's expert, Martin O'Sullivan. Stop by at 3 p.m. and enjoy free refreshments and guidance from a local lender. Whether you're new to home-buying, or ready to refinance, having the support of a trusted lender can make the process even easier. No obligations - just a casual opportunity for you to get educated. And don't forget to ask about the Great Escape Mortgages.

2. FAMILY: Pajama story time

Bring your kids ages 3 and older to Goodnow Library for pajama story time: Summer Fun for songs and stories about summer fun.

Craft will be provided by The Friends of Goodnow Library.

3. ART & ENTERTAINMENT: Real Views by Arthur Krim

Come to Goodnow Library at 7 p.m. for the reception for the art exhibit Real Views, which will be on display in McQueen Gallery from Aug. 2-29.

Real Views is an exhibition of street sketches in crayon and ink pen of industrial scenes within Greater Boston. These include subjects of truck warehouses, parking lots and airports drawn directly from site locations. The sketches are of daily subjects not often considered worthy of artistic consideration: Logan Airport, Allston rail yards and South Cove truck terminals. The artist is also a professional geographer and consultant to the Massachusetts Historical Commission. In his view, he takes on these subjects with serious regard.

4. ART & ENTERTAINMENT: Summer at the movies

On Thursdays, the Sudbury Senior Center will treat you to newer hits and pizza. Call 978-443-3055 to let us know that you are coming to the movie. The pizza is served at noon ($1.25 a slice) and your pizza order must be in by 10 a.m.

Thursday, August 2: Man on a Ledge – 2012 – PG-13 - When fugitive ex-cop Nick Cassidy steps onto a window ledge high above a busy Manhattan street, police psychologist Lydia Anderson tries to talk him down. But soon Anderson suspects that there's more to Cassidy's stunt than meets the eye. 102 minutes.
