Five Things You Need to Know Today: Dec. 12

Beth El preschool holds open house today.

1. FAMILY. Preschool open house

Come and check out the Beth El preschool during its open house at 9:30 a.m. Their teachers provide a balance between being able to nurture and provide some structure for the kids, as well as allowing them to go on their own when they need to. It’s a balance that not everyone is able to maintain. The teachers also have a keen interest in learning new ways to help kids in their social and behavioral development.

2. SCHOOL EVENTS: Instrumental Concert dress rehearsal

Be on stage ready to play at these times: Violin Ensemble- 6 p.m., Flute Choir - 6:30 p.m., and the members of Concert Band, Symphonic Band and Orchestra-7 p.m. Rehearsal will be finished by 8:30 p.m.

3. SPORTS & RECREATION: Softball meeting

The Friends of L-S Softball will hold a meeting at the high school from 7-9 p.m.

4. CHARITY: Toys for Tots

The McGlynn, Clinton & Hall Insurance Agency is conducting it's annual Toys for Tots campaign.

Help bring some joy to an underprivileged child this holiday season by dropping of a new, unwrapped toy.

Toys can be dropped off in Mill Village office (#208). The Sudbury Police Department is also accepting toys for the Toys for Tots program.

5. ORGANIZATIONS: Boy Scout Christmas tree sale

Christmas is less than two weeks away. If you haven't put up a tree yet, head over to Sudbury Boy Scouts lot, next to Sullivan Tire, on Boston Post Road and pick one out. Regular hours are 3:30-9 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on weekends.
