Five Things You Need to Know Today: Feb. 7

Today is Day 2 of FINCOM's FY13 budget hearing.

1. GOVERNMENT: FINCOM meeting

The towns of Sudbury and Lincoln will hold a joint FINCOM meeting at 7:30 p.m. at the Lincoln Hartwell Building - Multi-Purpose Room. The Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School Committee will also be present. For FINCOM's agenda, click here.

2. ART & ENTERTAINMENT: Read to Benson the ready therapy dog

Sign your kids up for a 15-minute reading session with Benson, a trained reading therapy dog, at Goodnow Library. To sign up, call 978-443-1035 ext. 225.

3. SCHOOL EVENTS: 'Footloose' auditions

From today through Thursday there will be Pit Band auditions for the spring musical “Footloose” at Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School.

4. GOVERNMENT: Council on Aging meeting

The Council will meet at the Senior Center at 3:30 p.m. For the Council's agenda, click here.

5. BENEFIT: A Show of Hearts fundraiser

The Post Road Art Center in Marlborough is once again hosting a silent art auction fundraiser, with all the proceeds going to Art BeCAUSE, a foundation dedicated to eradicating the environmental causes of breast cancer. Artists have donated unique heart-themed art to help raise money for this cause. Come to the gallery or make a bid by email for one of these wonderful pieces.
