Golnik Receives New Endorsement

Congressional candidate Jon Golnik (R-Carlisle) was recently endorsed by the Republican Town Committee of Carlisle.

Republican congressional candidate and Carlisle resident Jon Golnik was recently endorsed by the Carlisle Republican Town Committee, the second town committee endorsement for the candidate following an earlier endorsement from Shirley's committee.

"The people are looking for a representative who understands that these topics need to be more than just talking points. When towns like Lawrence have almost double the national average in unemployment, it is simply unacceptable to have a Representative that stifles job creation,” said Carlisle Republican Town Committee chair Corey Lofdahl.  “We simply can’t afford another two years under Congresswoman Tsongas’s watch.”

So far the Golnik campaign has been endorsed by former Gov. Paul Cellucci, Sen. Scott Brown, former gubernatorial candidate Charlie Baker, former Fitchburg mayor Dan Mylott and Gardner mayor Mark Hawke, among others.

Golnik is currently opposed by Westford resident Tom Weaver in a primary to see who will become the Republican nominee facing incumbent Niki Tsongas (D-Lowell) this fall in a new congressional district that includes Sudbury and 34 other cities and towns stretching from Haverhill to Winchendon to Marlborough.

Golnik's headquarters are located in Westford on Littleton Road just west of the Ninety Nine Restaurant.
