Bentley, the Milley family dog, stands in front of the flag pole in the front yard on Wednesday where a neighbor placed a red, white and blue ribbon in honor of their son and brother, First Lt. Scott F. Milley. Bentley was a stray dog Scott found days before deploying to Afghanistan in 2010 and had his family adopt the pet. Bentley has been a source of comfort for the Milley family since Scott's death one year ago.
