The following information was supplied by the Sudbury Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
The Sudbury Police Department is investigating two new larceny cases that were reported on Wednesday, including one that may involve a thief looking to upgrade his wristwatch.
At about 10:26 a.m., an Elsbeth Road resident told officers his unlocked car was broken in to, and a Breitling watch valued at $5,000 was stolen.
While searching the car, it was found that the alleged thief left behind a cheaper watch, a Timex, in its place.
According to the Macy's website, the most expensive Timex sold is valued at $300.
The other larceny case involved a housebreak on Silver Hill Road.
A resident at the home said someone broke in some time between 12:15 and 3:15 p.m. that day and stole a computer, flat-screen TV and cash.
