Shirtless Man in Mask Reported Running at Haskell Field

The following information was supplied by the Sudbury Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The Sudbury Police Department received a call Wednesday morning about a suspicious person on Fairbank Road.

According to Lt. Scott Nix, the reporting party said a large, shirtless man was seen running around Haskell Field. The subject was also reportedly wearing a ski mask.

The person was gone by the time officers arrived to the scene.

In other police news from Wednesday:

  • An officer responded to a Concord Road resident regarding a domestic dispute between a juvenile and his parents. According to Nix, the juvenile was arguing about attending school. The matter was resolved peacefully and one of the parents drove their son to school.
  • The department received a fourth-party call regarding suspicious circumstances on Great Road. According to Nix, the grandfather of a resident reported a possible breaking and entering of the home in progress. Nix said that turned out to not be the case. The case remains under investigation as to whether a larceny occurred. Nix said it is unclear at this time whether that happened.
  • A person walked into the department to report possible fraud of a check written for more than $500.
  • Officers warned two subjects who were soliciting on Kato Drive for Verizon. Neither was licensed to solicit in Sudbury, and the responding officer advised them of the ramifications if they continued.
