Small Fire Extinguished on Union Avenue Late Monday Night

The following information was obtained by the Sudbury Police and Fire Departments.

 

A Sudbury police officer patrolling Union Avenue late Monday night came upon a small fire in the parking lot of a local business.

Sudbury Fire Chief Bill Miles said the stump of a tree was on fire when Engine 2 arrived at about 11:20 p.m.

The fire was put out and there was no damage or injuries reported.

In other police news, Sudbury police officers responded to a disturbance in the Cedar Creek Road neighborhood at about 2:23 a.m. on Tuesday.

According to Lt. Scott Nix, a resident reported hearing either fireworks or gunshots.

When officers arrived the neighborhood was quiet.
