Student Cited for Pot, School Bus Accident and More from the Sudbury Police Department
The following information was supplied by the Sudbury Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned it does not indicate a conviction.
According to Lt. Scott Nix, the investigation surrounded a juvenile who was in possession of a small amount of marijuana.
A civil citation was issued to a 16-year-old male student.
Nix said the case is still under investigation.
In other police news from Feb. 11:
- A Basswood Avenue resident called to report hearing someone trying to gain entry through her front door. Responding officers checked the area and all seemed OK. There were no signs of attempted forced entry.
- Officers responded to Peakham Road at 9:50 a.m. where a car and an occupied school bus collided. Police closed the road for 40 minutes to transfer students to another bus and to assess possible injuries. No injuries were reported.
- Officers responded to Peakham Road at 7:23 p.m. for a report of a two-car accident at the Route 20 intersection. No injuries were reported.
- An officer on patrol noticed a hitchhiker on Boston Post Road. He was transported to his Horse Pond Road residence.
