A phone call made to the Sudbury Police Department late Sunday morning regarding a domestic problem resulted in the arrest of a Sudbury man.

According to Lt. Robert Grady, a family member of the alleged victim made the call and asked for officers to respond to an Old Lancaster Road home.

After officers arrived, the alleged victim gave a statement, which resulted in the arrest.

Brad S. Schultz, 53, of 84 Old Lancaster Road, is charged with domestic assault and battery against his spouse.

He was released at 1:28 p.m. and is scheduled to be arraigned at Framingham District Court on Tuesday. The court was closed Monday in observance of Columbus Day.

Friday

• Officers responded to a three-car accident on Boston Post Road. One car was towed. No injuries were reported.
• A Witherell Drive resident reported her car was broken in to the night before while it was parked in her driveway. Nothing appeared to be stolen. The car had been unlocked.
• Officers responded to a two-car accident on Nobscot Road behind Friendly's. One car was towed. No injuries were reported.
• Officers responded to a two-car accident on Boston Post Road. No injuries were reported.
• An officer on patrol on Stockfarm Road heard gunshots at about 4:40 p.m. The officer could not locate the source of the gunshots.
• At 4:41 p.m., the department received a call about a hit-and-run accident on Boston Post Road. The responding officer located the car and driver who allegedly left the scene at Horse Pond Road. After further investigation, the incident turned out to be a case of road rage between two drivers instead of a hit-and-run. The drivers apparently exchanged gestures that started the incident. Neither car showed damage.

Saturday

• Officers responded to a one-car accident on Goodman's Hill Road, where the operator of the car struck a tree. The car eventually caught fire, and the operator was transported to Emerson Hospital with minor injuries.
• A resident on Moore Road reported hearing fireworks. The Maynard Police Department told the Sudbury PD there was a fireworks show going on in town.
• A person walking down Country Village Lane to watch the fireworks called the Sudbury PD to report he thought kids in the neighborhood were trying to break into cars. Nothing suspicious was found.

Sunday

• A Lettery Circle resident reported someone had pulled flowers and placed them on his vehicle. There was no other damage to the car.
• A Longfellow Glen resident reported kids were playing with mailboxes. The responding officer advised the kids of their wrongdoing.
