Sudbury Native Receives Rookie Honor in Men's Lacrosse
Stony Brook freshman Dan Shaughnessy spotlighted by America East.
It's the second straight week that a Seawolf has garnered the honor.
The Sudbury native and Lincoln-Sudbury graduate combined to make 28 saves in two games last week, but saved his best against powerhouse Virginia. The southpaw goaltender made a career-best 19 stops against the Cavaliers, including 11 in the second half.
Shaughnessy made a number of saves near the goalmouth, keeping the game within reach.
He notched his first career victory over Lafayette, 12-10.
