A day after the Sudbury Police Department arrested a 17-year-old Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High student on drug-related charges inside the school, they responded to another drug violation on Friday in which other students were charged as well, Lt. Scott Nix said.
According to Nix, Sudbury police were called to the high school at about 10:14 a.m. regarding a drug transaction that was observed by school staff.
After officers arrived and completed an investigation, a 16-year-old was charged with distribution of marijuana and a controlled substance violation within a school zone.
According to Nix, a 15-year-old female student purchased the marijuana and received a civil violation ($100 fine). The amount of marijuana involved in the transaction was less than one ounce.
"The distribution of the marijuana was the criminal part," Nix explained.
Due to ages of the students involved, no other information was made available.
