Sudbury's Al Lucchese is taking on the task of helping a Canadian-based business expand into the United States.

TP Systems, a Vancouver, British Columbia software and services firm, recently announced its expansion to the US market with plans of having offices in Waltham.

The US business unit will be named TP Systems-USA.

“Our focus is to make SOHEMA, TP System’s Health & Human Services Case Management software a market leader in the US,” Lucchese said in a release.

Lucchese, an industry veteran, joins TP Systems as executive vice president. He will be responsible for establishing and managing the firm’s presence in the U.S.

“Al Lucchese has enjoyed a highly successful career leading multiple software and services organizations through varied stages of growth,” CEO Scott Rosen said in a release.

SOHEMA is a web based Cloud application.
