Sudbury Woman Dies in Two-Car Accident

Geraldine Boyd was pronounced dead at Metrowest Medical Center.

A Sudbury woman was killed earlier today in a two-car accident on Boston Post Road.

At about 9:52 a.m., the Sudbury Police Department responded to a call regarding an accident with injury at Boston Post Road and Landham Road.

Three occupants from one car were transported to Metrowest Medical Center in Framingham by the Sudbury and Wayland fire departments. Among those was Geraldine Boyd, 73, of 6 Birchwood Ave., who was pronounced dead at the hospital, according to Sudbury police.

According to Lt. Scott Nix, Boyd was a passenger in one of the cars. The other occupants were treated and released from the hospital.

The operator and sole occupant of the second car was transported by relatives to an unknown hospital, where he was treated and released, Nix said.

Nix also said none of the passengers were juveniles.

No charges were filed, but the accident is under investigation by the Sudbury Police Department, the Massachusetts State Police Reconstruction Unit and the District Attorney's Office.
