Three Garage, Car Break-Ins Reported
The following information was supplied by the Sudbury Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned it does not indicate a conviction.
Two cars and a garage were reported broken into on Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 20 and 21, according to Sudbury police.
On Aug. 20 at 1:32 p.m., a Ford Road resident reported a car was broken into and a watch was stolen. The resident believed their car doors were locked, however there was no sign of forced entry, police said.
Also on Aug. 20, at 6:56 p.m., a garage on Possum Road was reported broken into. Entry was gained through an unlocked door to the garage. A flat screen television and bottled waters from a refrigerator were reported stolen, police said.
On Aug. 21, at 8:27 a.m., also on Possum Lane, a car was reproted broken into, and a cell phone was reported stolen. The car was parked in the driveway of a home. It is unknown whether the car was locked, police said.
Sudbury Police Lt. Scott Nix said it is not known whether the break-ins were related.
"I'd say there's a chance they are connected to each other," he said.
Nix said people should take precautions to guard their property.
"We always recommend residents secure their vehicles and their residence," he said.

Great, Possum is just around our corner... Now I am setting up surveillance cameras on my property. Next I am getting a shotgun loaded with #7 birdshot. 01776, let's remind the bad guys.
