Weekend Happenings: A von Trapp, Veggies and Dodgeball

When/Where: Sunday from 1-4 p.m. at the Wayland Town Beach, 27 Parkland Drive, Wayland.
The Buzz: Summer is in full swing and what better way to celebrate than with play time at the beach. Town Beach staff will play games with children and Jenny the Juggler will perform from 1:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m.
Price: Free with admission.
When/Where: Sunday at 7 p.m. at Community United Methodist Church, 5 Damon Street, Wayland.
The Buzz: Yes, THAT von Trapp. Elisabeth is the granddaugter of Maria and Baron von Trapp who inspired "The Sound of Music." She will sing and sell her CDs at the show.
Price: Free, but a free-will offering will be collected.
When/Where: Friday at 6:15 p.m. at Giorgio's Health and Fitness, 31 Union Ave., Sudbury.
The Buzz: Here's a fun and safe way to blow off a little steam at the end of the week. Kids ages 6 and up are invited to an evening of dodgeball, pizza and fun.
Price: $10 for members and $15 for non-members.
When/Where: Sunday from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at West Acton Citizen's Library, 21 Windsor Ave., Acton.
The Buzz: Veggies, fruits, meats, eggs and more are ... ahem ... ripe for the picking at this weekly farmers' market. Stop by for fresh goods and support your local producers in the process.
When/Where: Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Memorial Pool, 2 Alphabet Lane, Weston.
The Buzz: The pool is open and there's no better way to enjoy an afternoon at the pool than with a bit of live music. The Reminiscents cover everything from Buddy Holly to The Beatles and the Beach Boys.
Price: Cost of admission (open to Weston residents and their guests)
