Living off of Fairbank Road, I can say for sure that people "fly" down this road. The police have tried to get people to slow down but it has not worked. Even though there is a field and several crosswalks people insist on going way over the speed limit. And don't get me started about the Fairbank/Hudson road intersection.

Just called Beth Israel ... without the woman's name they can't release her general condition. Too big of a hospital I guess to call all the patient wings.

People drive on Fairbank way too fast. 30mph is often times too fast with the narrow road and bikers. When going slower people often flash their headlights at you because they're used to driving faster there. ::shakes head:: Maybe those people will think twice after reading this story?

I can tell you that once dusk approaches, it's very dark by Atkinson. They need lights for those crosswalks!

Fairbank Road is a speedway to many drivers. Last night was an awful night, rain and dark - drivers should have been going 5 MP! Prayers go out to the woman and her dog.

We came on the accident about ten minutes after it happened and I've been thinking about the woman and her family all day. Hoping there is some good news on this story in the near future.
