According to acting Chief Scott Nix, an officer on patrol pulled over a motorist at about 4:38 p.m. on Lincoln Road. After an investigation was completed, Pamela S. Carota, 44, of 54 Orchard St., was found to have a warrant out for her arrest from Greenfield District Court. Nix said the warrant was for uninsured operation of a motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle with a revoked registration. A New York woman is facing multiple charges after leading the Sudbury Police Department on a low-speed chase on May 13. According to Lt. Robert Grady, an officer on patrol began following the motorist near the intersection of Concord and Boston Post roads at about 10:45 p.m. Grady said the motorist refused to pull over as she led the officer on a 3-mile chase into Wayland. Grady said speeds never topped 30 mph. A motor vehicle stop by the Sudbury Police Department on May 12 resulted in the arrest of a Maynard man. According to Lt. Robert Grady, an officer on patrol on Union Avenue pulled over a motorist just after 10 p.m. After an investigation was completed, Geraldo F. Filho, 34, of 3 Florida Court, was arrested and charged with: Operating under the influence of alcohol; Unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle; Failure to dim headlights. A one-car accident involving a pedestrian on May 10 sent one person to the hospital. According to Sudbury Police Lt. Robert Grady, the pedestrian was struck while walking along Willow Road at about 5:45 a.m. She was transported to a local hospital with minor, visible injuries. "It appears solar glare was a major factor in the accident," Grady said. "We urge people to use caution and be mindful solar glare is a factor this time of year." A 911 call to the Sudbury Police Department on May 6 regarding a domestic dispute resulted in the arrest of a local man. According to Lt. Robert Grady, officers were dispatched to Crescent Lane at about 8:44 p.m. after receiving a call about a disturbance between a husband and wife. After responding officers interviewed two parties and completed an investigation, they found probable cause to make an arrest, Grady said. Robert J. A motor vehicle stop by the Sudbury Police Department on May 5 resulted in the arrest of a Marlborough man. At about 2:19 a.m., Daren M. Paz, 22, of 105 2nd Road, was pulled over on Wayside Inn Road. After the responding officer completed an investigation, Paz was arrested and charged with: Operating under the influence of liquor; Operating to endanger; Marked lanes violation. Paz was held until his arraignment at Framingham District Court the morning of May 6. Also on May 5, a woman reported her wallet was stolen while attending an event at Longfellow's Wayside Inn.
A parent and student from Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School walked into the Sudbury Police Department on May 4 to report the student's wallet was stolen from the campus. According to Lt. Robert Grady, the wallet, which was stolen on April 30, contained $6 in cash and $30 worth of gift cards. No description of the wallet was given. The case is under investigation. The Sudbury Police Department is investigating an attempted breaking and entering report on May 3 from a Boston Post Road business. According to Lt. Robert Grady, someone attempted to manipulate a lock to gain entry. Grady said forced entry was never made. The business reported nothing was stolen. A road rage incident on Boston Post Road in Sudbury on May 1 will result in charges for one motorist. According to Sudbury Police Lt. Robert Grady, officers responded to the incident at about 6:40 p.m. One motorist allegedly kicked another car then fled the scene into Marlborough. Marlborough caught the motorist and transferred him back to Sudbury. That motorist will be officially charged with malicious destruction to a motor vehicle at Framingham District Court. The Sudbury Police Department is looking for a local man who is wanted in relation to a domestic issue. According to Lt. Robert Grady, Milford police contacted the Sudbury PD on April 29 to report a female from Milford was allegedly a victim of domestic abuse. The female gave an in-person report to Sudbury officers just before midnight, stating her boyfriend, who allegedly committed the crime, lived on Old Meadow Road. Grady said Sudbury police plan to charge the boyfriend with domestic assault and battery, and malicious destruction of a motor vehicle.
A call to the Sudbury Police Department from Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School on April 27 regarding a disorderly teen resulted in the arrest of a Bedford resident. According to Lt. Robert Grady, officers were dispatched to Lincoln-Sudbury at about 8:10 p.m. where a dance was taking place. Just before 5 p.m., a responding officer pulled over Louis Perez, 33, of 163 Meadowbrook Lane, on Boston Post Road. A Sudbury Police officer on patrol on April 17 at Sudbury Plaza recognized a man known to have a warrant out for his arrest in the parking lot of TJ Maxx. According to Lt. Scott Nix, the officer followed the man into TJ Maxx. After completing an investigation, the officer arrested Richard A. Chartier, 28, of 3 Central St. in Hudson.
