4 Sudbury Residents Earn Honors at Connecticut College

Here are 5 things to know today in Sudbury.

1. The following local students have achieved Dean's Honors, a recognition for students who have earned a grade point average of at least 3.65, or Dean's High Honors, a recognition for students who have earned a grade point average of at least 3.77, for the 2013 fall semester at Connecticut College.
  • Daniel Gossels, class of 2016 at Connecticut College and a resident of Sudbury, has been named to the Dean's High Honors list.
  • Katrina Jandl, class of 2014 at Connecticut College and a resident of Sudbury, has been named to the Dean's Honors list.
  • Katherine McDonald, class of 2016 at Connecticut College and a resident of Sudbury, has been named to the Dean's High Honors list.
  • Anne Schwartz, class of 2017 at Connecticut College and a resident of Sudbury, has been named to the Dean's High Honors list.
2. Sudbury resident Madelyn Paquette will be joining with Gov. Deval Patrick and other students from across the Commonwealth on Saturday, Jan. 18 for a day of service.

She was selected for Project 351 by the superintendent of the school district because of her exceptional commitment to service.

“I welcome Project 351 Ambassadors from Sudbury and across the Commonwealth to unite in the spirit of service,” said Patrick. “Our young people have unlimited potential to create positive change across our Commonwealth, our nation and our world. Project 351 recognizes that while providing a wonderful opportunity to inspire, challenge and motivate our next generation of leaders to give back and make a significant impact in our community.”

3. The 12th Annual Summer Camp Fair will be held on Sunday, Jan. 26 at Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. More than 80 camps will be there - traditional day, overnight and adventure camps.
