Christopher Gurshin 2014 Winter Painting Workshop Set for Jan. 25-26

1. Christopher Gurshin is back to teach his 2014 Winter Workshop, scheduled for Jan. 25-26 at The Wayside Inn. A popular event every year, Gurshin works with attendees to create fabulous pieces of art in the historic halls of the Wayside Inn. An all-day affair, each member of the class will receive coffee and muffins to start the day, as well as a great lunch. By day's end, all attendees will have their own finished product.

Space for the event is limited, and tickets can be purchased by calling the Wayside Inn's gift shop at 978-443-1776 x 119. For any questions, contact Roberta Fitzgerald at roberta@wayside.org.

Tickets are $195.00 each, and include the full day workshop, coffee and muffins, lunch, and a beautiful finished project. Refunds will not be given after Jan. 1, 2014, except in the case of a blizzard.

2. Lego Club for Older Kids is scheduled for Dec. 19, 7–8 p.m., in the Story & Craft Room at Goodnow Library.

This is a Lego club for kids 9 and older. Registration is required for this fun and informal program. Once finished, creations will be on display in the Children's Department for everyone to enjoy.

3. Bake and package your favorite homemade cookies, bring copies of the recipe and be ready to taste and share! Join the Sudbury Senior Center on Dec. 18 at 2 p.m. for an informal gathering of friends and staff to share cookies and warm drinks.

The Senior Center will provide hot coffee, tea, cocoa and cider. You bring two dozen cookies to share (in four bags of 6 each) along with copies (or a copy) of the recipe.

Call the Sudbury Senior Center at 978-443-3055 to sign up so that they can be prepared for the attendance.
