Financial Aid Night at L-S on Oct. 21

Here are 5 things to know today in Sudbury.

1. Financial Aid Night is an important presentation for parents on how to apply for financial aid. The seminar, scheduled for Oct. 21 at Lincoln-Sudbury, is sponsored by Massachusetts Educational Financing Authority (MEFA) and will be conducted by an experienced financial aid professional. It is recommended that at least one parent from each family plan to attend. Regardless of income level, most families will find helpful information about options available to assist them in paying for a college education. This event is held from 7–9 p.m. in the L-S Auditorium.

2. Click on the links below to view the specimen ballots for the Special State Primary Election 

Absentee Ballot Applications are available at the Town Clerk's office for the Special State Primaries for the 5th Congressional District representing Subprecinct 1A and Precincts 2, 3, 4 and 5.

Voters in Precinct 1 are not eligible to participate in this election. Precinct 1 is part of the 3rd Congressional District, currently represented by Niki Tsongas.

3. Receive training in babysitting responsibilities by learning some basic  characteristics of children, how to supervise and play with children. You will also learn basic care such as feeding and changing, accident prevention, proper emergency response and first aid. Upon successful completion of this course, students will receive a babysitter’s course completion certificate, as well as C.P.R. for children and infants.
  • WHO: Sixth- to ninth-graders, age 11-15
