Get a Sneak Peek at the HOPEsudbury Telethon Auction Items

Here are 5 things to know today in Sudbury.

1. Chomping at the bit to see the 2013 HOPEsudbury auction items? They're all online and ready for viewing. To check them out, go to the HOPEsudbury website. Click on the text on the middle of the homepage screen: "Click here to preview the HOPEsudbury Auction." You'll be directed to the online auction site.

2. Financial Aid Night is Oct. 22 at Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School This is an important presentation for parents on how to apply for financial aid. The seminar, sponsored by Massachusetts Educational Financing Authority (MEFA), will be conducted by an experienced financial aid professional. It is recommended that at least one parent from each family plan to attend. Regardless of income level, most families will find helpful information about options available to assist them in paying for a college education.  This event is held from 7–9 p.m. in the L-S auditorium.

3. On Oct. 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sudbury CRANE (Community Resource Awareness Network) and the Sudbury Police Department will host a drug disposal event at the Sudbury Department of Public Works building located at 275 Old Lancaster Road in Sudbury. This is an opportunity for residents to dispose of unwanted and expired drugs in a responsible manner.

Tuesday: Partly sunny to mostly cloudy. Slight chance for a passing shower late. Mid to upper 60s.

Wednesday: Chilly & breezy with mostly cloudy skies. Showers likely through the afternoon. Highs near 50 early in the morning, falling into the mid 40s by late day. Showers should end just in time for the World Series. Cool, raw night though, mid 40s at first pitch. Northeast wind 5-10mph.

Thursday: Blustery & cool with partly sunny skies. Highs in the low 50s. 44 and mainly clear for the start of Game 2 of the World Series.
