Historic Districts Commission Schedules Public Hearing

Here are 5 things to know today in Sudbury.

1. The Historic Districts Commission has schedule a public hearing for Oct. 24, at 7:30 p.m. at the Flynn Building, Silva Conference Room.
  • To consider an application for removal and replacement of 460 feet of stone wall at the corner of Grinnell Park,  Hudson Road, (Assessor’s Map H09, Parcel 0004), applicant Town of Sudbury, Department of Public Works, Case #13-17.
  • To consider an application for alteration and construction of a portico with new front door and replacement of siding and trim at 185 Peakham Road (Assessor’s Map J05, Parcel 0335), applicant Saulo Stewart, Case #13-18.
Other Business:
  • Discussion of parking striping at 29 Hudson Road.
2. Atkinson Pool weekend schedule:
  • Sat. Oct. 12 8am-11am: 6 Lap
  • 11am—12pm: 4 Lap
  • 12pm- -6pm: 3 Lap  2 Family
  • Dive well Closed All Day
3. Sudbury Family Network is planning an apple-picking trip to Tougas Family Farm on Oct. 8 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Meet in the picnic area at 11:30 for lunch, play on the extensive playground and visits with barnyard animals. Feel free to bring your own lunch or buy something from their country kitchen. At 12:30 enjoy a hayride into the orchard, where each child will be able to pick 5 apples (1/4 peck bag) and have one apple to eat in the orchard. SFN will cover the cost for the children. Accompanying adults will need to pay $5.50 for their own 1/4 peck bag or they are welcome to pick a peck of apples. To join SFN,
