Powerful Tools for Caregivers Workshop Offered in Sudbury

Here are 5 things to know today in Sudbury.

1. Powerful tools for Caregivers is a self-care education program for family caregivers. This program will provide you with tools and strategies to better handle the unique caregiver challanges you face. It will help you take care of yourself while caring for a relative or friend.

The workshop is offered Tuesdays from Jan. 14 to Feb. 18, 9:30-11 a.m. at the Sudbury Senior Center.

2. In observance of New Year's Day, all non-emergency Town offices will be closed Wednesday, Jan. 1. Offices will reopen at their usual times on Thursday, Jan. 2.

3. In accordance with the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 41, Section 81T and the Sudbury Planning Board Rules & Regulations Governing the Subdivision of Land and Article V(F), Section 5.C of the Town of Sudbury Bylaws (Stormwater Management), the Planning  Board will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 8:00 p.m. at Town Hall, 322 Concord Road regarding an application submitted by Distinctive Acton Homes, Inc. (Applicant) and Cavooto Sudbury Realty Trust (Owner) for approval of a Definitive Subdivision and Stormwater Management Permit, as shown on a plan entitled ''North Ridge Farm Definitive Subdivision Plan", prepared by Foresite Engineering dated November 1, 2013, proposing a subdivision of approximately 7.46 acres into 6 lots and construction of improvements thereon. Said property is located at 338 North Road (Assessor's Map C09, Parcel 31), and will involve the disturbance of approximately 220,000 sq. ft. oflarid area.

Copies of the plan and application are available in the Planning and Community Development Office and may be inspected during regular office hours.

Thursday: Cloudy skies with patchy light snow flurries by midday. The snow becomes steadier & heavier by nightfall. Heavy snow possible overnight. Daytime temps in the lower 20s.
