Special State Election Set for Dec. 10

Here are 5 things to know today in Sudbury.

1. A Special State Election is scheduled for Dec. 10 for Subprecinct 1A, Precincts 2, 3, 4, and 5, to fill the vacancy in the 5th Congressional District. 

Voters in Precinct 1 will not participate in this election. Precinct 1 is part of the 3rd Congressional District, currently represented by Niki Tsongas.

2. Pursuant to Section 7 of Chapter 40 of the Acts and Resolves of Massachusetts, 1963, the Sudbury Historic Districts Commission will hold a public hearing on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. at the Lower Town Hall Meeting Room, 322 Concord Road, Sudbury, MA to consider the following application:

  1. Construction of a 1 ½ story, 2-bay attached garage measuring approximately 24x36 feet at 71 Concord Road, (Assessor’s Map J09, Parcel 0005), applicant Robert Haworth, Case #13-19. 

The application is on file in the Office of Planning and Community Development and may be reviewed during regular business hours. Any person interested, or wishing to be heard on the proposed application, should appear at the time and place designated.

3. In accordance with the provisions of Article V(F), Section 5.C of the Town of Sudbury Bylaws (Stormwater Management), the Planning Board will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall, 322 Concord Road, regarding an application submitted by Eric Kaufman, Applicant, to construct one (1) new single family dwelling on Lot 3, Newbridge Road (Assessor’s Map G11, Parcel 0500), which will involve the disturbance of approximately 25,500 sq. ft. of land area with slopes greater than 10%.

 Copies of the plan and application are available in the Planning and Community Development Office and may be inspected during regular office hours. 

 Any person interested, or wishing to be heard on the proposed application should appear at the time and place designated.
