State of Nixon School Presentation Planned at Next SPS Meeting

Here are 5 things to know today in Sudbury.

1. The Sudbury Public Schools Committee will meet on Oct. 23 at 7:30 p.m. at Nixon Elementary School. Principal Joni Jay and Assistant Principal Chase Eschauzier will give a presentation on the state of the school. For the entire agenda, click here.

2. Want to visit China this March to learn about social responsibility in the global market from well-known companies such as Patagonia and Tom’s Shoes? Join Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School for a mandatory student/parent meeting on Oct. 29 at 6:30 p.m. in the Lecture Hall. 3. Goodnow Library will host a Halloween Safety Magic Show on Oct. 30, from 4-5 p.m. in the Community Room. The show is for kids ages 5 and older. Join Magician Tommy James for a 45-minute Halloween-themed, high-energy performance that has it all, including safety tips and a magical appearance from Bunnicula the Vampire Bunny.

Thursday: Blustery & cool with partly sunny skies. Highs in the mid 50s. 44 and mainly clear for the start of Game 2 of the World Series.
