Voter Registration Deadline for Special State Election

Here are 5 things to know today in Sudbury.

1. A Special State Election is scheduled for Dec. 10 for Subprecinct 1A, Precincts 2, 3, 4, and 5 to fill the vacancy in the 5th Congressional District. Voters in Precinct 1 will not participate in this election. Precinct 1 is part of the 3rd Congressional District, currently represented by Nicola S. Tsongas.

2. In accordance with the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 41, Section 81T and the Sudbury Planning Board Rules & Regulations Governing the Subdivision of Land, the Planning Board will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at 8:00 p.m. at Town Hall, 322 Concord Road, regarding an application submitted by 82 Maynard Rd LLC, for approval of a Definitive Subdivision, as shown on a plan entitled “Definitive Plan of Land, 82 Maynard Road in Sudbury, Mass”, prepared by R. Wilson and Associates dated October 23, 2013, proposing a subdivision of approximately 3.17 acres into 2 lots and construction of improvements thereon. Said property is located at 82 Maynard Road (Assessor’s Map G08-0026).

Copies of the plan and application are available in the Planning and Community Development Office and may be inspected during regular office hours.  

Any person interested, or wishing to be heard on the proposed application should appear at the time and place designated.

3. In accordance with the provisions of Article V(F), Section 5.C (Stormwater Management), and Article IX, Section 4200 (Water Resource protection Overlay District) of the Town of Sudbury Bylaws, the Planning Board will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall, 322 Concord Road, regarding a Stormwater Management Permit application and a Water Resource Protection District Special Permit application submitted by Northern Bank and Trust Company, Applicant, to construct a new 2,500 sq. ft. retail bank building and associated improvements including stormwater management facilities, utility improvements, parking areas, 2 lane remote drive-through facility, landscaping, and lighting at 430 Boston Post Road (Assessor’s Map K08-0077).
