Bear Scouts Den 4 Loring Pack build a wetu at The Sudbury Historical Society

Bear Scouts Den 4, Loring Pack 60 visited the Sudbury Historical Society on Wednesday, October 2nd to build a wetu and fish drying rack for the Society's future museums Native American area. Thanks to all of the great Scouts, Jackson Hild, Oscar Klappenbach, Eli Klappenbach, Finn Fosnot, Frank De Traglia, Wyatt LaRochelle, Erik Lambert, Nick Lentino, Ben Lisa, Evan Silvia, Aidan Downer, helper Mark DeTraglia and honorary den member, Tate Hild.

The Sudbury Historical Society, located on the 2nd floor of the Sudbury Town Hall, is planning to open its doors to visitors for the first time in several years this November. Visitors will be able to view a sampling of the Society’s collection of artifacts that have been carefully stored away for many years. Photographs, maps, clothing, early farm equipment, military items to name just a few, will be on display for all to see. The items have been donated over the years by Sudbury residents wanting to keep their treasures in town. The museum will be temporary, as the Society is in the process of looking for a permanent location.
