New Start Time for Candidates' Night


Candidates in the contested races for selectman and both school committees as well as for Park and Recreation Commission will face off when the League of Women Voters of Sudbury sponsors its 58th annual Candidates’ Night Tuesday, March 4.

The program will start at 7 p.m. instead of the previously announced 7:30 p.m. to accommodate candidates who have to attend the Lincoln-Sudbury Regional School Committee that same evening. There will be coffee and a chance to meet the candidates at 6:45 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

            Candidates’ Night will be held at the Goodnow Library, 21 Concord Rd., in Sudbury.

The candidates in uncontested races for town offices will introduce themselves and discuss the position they are running for after the presentations for the contested races.

The election is Monday, March 31, and polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Audience members will be able to submit questions that evening in the contested races. Questions may also be submitted in advance by email to sudburycandidatesnight@gmail.com until 5 p.m. Monday, March 3.

            Candidates’ Night will be shown live on Sudbury cable local access Channel 8 (Comcast) and Channel 31 (Verizon) and will be repeated several times before the election.  The program will also be available on the station’s website, www.sudburytv.org, as a video-on-demand option.
