1. Fellswater concert

The four-person ensemble comprising Fellswater, using whistle, flute, guitar, mandolin, bouzouki,violin and smallpipes, has toured throughout New England including New Hampshire Highland Games (2010 & 2012), Blackstone River Theatre (2012 & 2013) The Burren (2013), Cape Cod Scottish Festival (2012) and a sold out notloB concert at Loring-Greenough House (2013). The band's first album, "Fellswater" was favorably reviewed by Sean Smith of the Boston Irish Reporter, "Fellswater's artistry for arrangements is evident ... the band demonstrates its penchant for fleeting harmonies and deft shift of moods and tone."

2. Honoring a hometown hero

The Board of Selectmen will present a proclamation to CPT Kristen Walls, who recently returned from a tour of Kosovo.

She served with the US Army and NATO forces in support of Operation Joint Guardian/KFOR (Kosovo Force) 16. During the course of her deployment, Walls served with the 218th Movement Enhancement Brigade as the S2 Analysis and Control Element (ACE), Intelligence Fusion Element Officer in Charge. Walls directed and supervised the planning, evaluation, fusion, analysis, production, and dissemination of all ACE products presented to the Brigade Commander and staff. For her meritorious service she was awarded the Army Commendation Medal. She also received the Kosovo Campaign Medal, NATO Medal, the Armed Forces Reserve Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, and the Overseas Service Ribbon.

CPT Walls is a 2005 graduate of Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School and a 2009 graduate of Western New England University.

3. Sudbury Art Association members show

Members of the Sudbury Art Association will show their work at Goodnow Library during the month of August. This is a preview show for the Open Studios weekend October 19-20.
