UPDATED: NSTAR Reports Parts of Sudbury Without Power

About 2 percent of the utility company's customers powerless.

Utility company NSTAR is reporting 165 customers in Sudbury are currently without power.

That equals 2 percent of the customers in Sudbury.

Overall in Massachusetts, 724 customers, or less than 1 percent, were experiencing outage problems at 4 p.m.

"The outage was due to weather related equipment damage," NSTAR spokesman Michael Durand told Sudbury Patch at 4:20 p.m. "It originally affected about 2,000 customers and is now affecting about 160. Working to restore power to the remaining customers as soon as possible."
