Rare Bald Eagle Sighting in Concord Excites Crowd

The bird visited Nashawtuc Country Club Tuesday.

A bald eagle made a rare appearance in Concord Tuesday.

The bird visited Nashawtuc Country Club at about 5:30 p.m. Marcy Vadurro, marketing and membership director for the club, submitted these photos.

The eagle drew a small crowd of onlookers, Vadurro said.

She said birdwatchers often stop by the course, as it's surrounded by large tracts of natural land. The course is also a certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary.
