Snow, Rain, Ice Expected on Wednesday, Thursday Morning

A wintry mix may show that spring isn't here quite yet.

Written by Les Masterson

Hope you enjoyed Tuesday’s sunshine and 50-degree weather because it’s about to get a lot messier around here.

A winter storm is expected to hit Greater Boston on Wednesday. Light rain and snow should begin early Wednesday morning and then change to heavy rain Wednesday afternoon and early evening, according to the National Weather Service.

The rain changes back to snow late Wednesday night and then tapers off Thursday morning, said NWS.

Street flooding is possible on Wednesday afternoon/early evening. Icy roads may make the Thursday morning commute slippery.

The area is only expected to get 1-2 inches of snow and that will likely get washed away or turned into slush because of the heavy rain expected on Wednesday.
