Sudbury Celebrating Safe Return of Local Soldier

SPC Timothy Hall returns home from Afghanistan later this week.

After 10 months away, SPC Timothy Hall is coming home. And Sudbury officials want to show him just how much his hometown appreciates his sacrifice.

Hall, a 2003 Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School graduate, is returning home this week following a 10-month tour of Afghanistan as a member of the United States Army.

During its Tuesday night meeting, the Board of Selectmen plans to vote to sign a proclamation that will designate Friday as Timothy Hall Day in Sudbury.

In addition, selectmen plan to sign a proclamation at their meeting that acknowledges May is Military Appreciation Month in Sudbury.

Hall is attending the University of Massachusetts Boston, where he is pursuing a career as a federal law enforcement agent with what he hopes will be with the FBI, Border Patrol or United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

SPC Hall is the son of Gary Hall and stepson of Susan Carboni, paternal son of Meggan Hall of Bridgewater, according to the town website.

Be sure to offer your well wishes for Hall's safe return home in the comments section below.
