Longtime Sudbury residents Mark and Victoria Kempf are the co-founders of ScreenRetriever, an online safety solution that allows parents to see all computer activity so they can teach safe and appropriate computer behavior.

"We are so excited to have this opportunity to get the visibility ScreenRetriever needs so that we can get ScreenRetriever on all mobile devices that kids use," said Victoria Kempf, who also blogs about Internet safety. "Kids are going mobile and we want to go mobile with them.”

The Kempfs’ invented ScreenRetriever because of their two girls for their own home use. They wanted to be able to parent online just as they did offline.

"Using ScreenRetriever parents can check in easily on all of their children’s computer activity and behavior, either live or using the recording feature," said Victoria Kempf. "Then parents are able to teach their children safe, appropriate online behavior. ScreenRetriever lets children know when parents are checking so that trust is maintained and then it’s easy to have a 'talk' about online behavior. Parents have always been great offline parents. Now they can be great online parents, too."

The Kempfs hope to go all the way to win a 30-second ad in the Superbowl in Intuit’s “Small Business, Big Game” competition.

The voting starts fresh in each round. Residents can once a day through Oct. 13 by clicking here.
