Sudbury Business Hosting Marathon Runners, Community at Wednesday Event

T-wisted Frozen Yogurt is hosting a meet and greet for all Boston Marathon runners on Wednesday.

Sudbury has 64 runners who will take part in this year's Boston Marathon. And one local business wants to make sure each of them knows their efforts are not going unnoticed.

T-wisted Frozen Yogurt is hosting a meet and greet that will bring together Sudbury's Boston Marathon runners along with members of the community.

"We were pleased to learn there were so many folks from our community running in this year's marathon," said Ellen Brandt, who spearheaded planning for the event. "We thought it would be a nice way to honor them and get the town pumped up. It's fun for everyone to say they know people running in the marathon, whether it be a family or community member."

The event is scheduled for Wednesday at 7 p.m. inside T-wisted Frozen Yogurt sy 410 Boston Post Road in Sudbury.

Brandt said the frozen yogurt shop also hopes it will provide an ideal opportunity for members of the Sudbury community to make donations for The One Fund.

The Sudbury business owner said there is a special buzz around this year's Boston Marathon, with countless residents from across the region looking to make an impact following last year's bombings.

"People are anxious to move forward and put last year's tragedy behind them," said Brandt. "I think everyone has been living by the 'Boston Strong' motto and have become even more of a tight knit region and community. It has brought out a lot of goodwill in people and a noticeable increase in acts of kindness among us all."
