Sudbury Businesswoman Receives Top Manager Award

Liz Gill-Cano named Manager of the Year by Best Friends Pet Care.

Liz Gill-Cano, manager of the Best Friends Pet Care center in Sudbury MA, has been honored for outstanding managerial performance by Best Friends Pet Care Inc., the leader in the U.S. pet boarding industry.

Gill-Cano was selected “Manager of the Year” from among the company’s 42 pet care center managers in recognition of her outstanding achievement during the past year.  The award was presented at the company’s annual Managers Conference last week. The meeting was held in Norwalk, Conn., and attended by Best Friends managers from across the U.S. and by corporate leadership.

“Liz is a wonderful example of how associates can work their way up in our organization from an entry level job to management,” says John Heyder, President and CEO of Best Friends Pet Care.  “She cares about her clients – both pet and human – and her staff and it shows in her outstanding performance.  We are delighted to honor her with this award.”
